Reciprocals and Visitor Information
Over the past few years we have continued to build the list of yacht clubs with which we have reciprocal moorage privileges. Use of these arrangements is one of the advantages of your membership in TYC. When planning your cruises we strongly suggest you take advantage of the free (or reduced) moorage available through these privileges. It is important that you check each club's website before arriving so you are familiar with the location of guest moorage and shore side facilities as well as the rules and procedures governing their use. It is also a good idea to call in advance of your arrival. The clubs with which TYC now has privileges, their web sites and phone numbers are listed below. We are still receiving letters extending reciprocal privileges for the 2009 year so check the TYC web site on a regular basis for updates.
For TYC to uphold our end of reciprocal relationships it important that guest moorage is available at Point Roberts when members of these clubs come to visit. To make this work TYC members must notify the marina office when they are away for a weekend or longer. Visiting boats will be directed to one of our slips. If no TYC space is available, the guest yacht club member will be turned away or charged moorage. With the US customs at the old visitor dock and the renovations currently in progress, space for visiting boats is at a premium. We all know how disappointing it is when we are cruising and are turned away from a club that we have reciprocals with because there is no available slip. Your cooperation is appreciated..
Another BIG plus is to take advantage of the Sub lease offered by the Marina. They will credit you 50% of the revenue they get for using your slip. Download the form here

If you are cruising and want to take advantage of the reciprocal privileges, please check the club's web site and/or call in advance of your planned arrival so you will know the procedure to follow for each club.

Visitor Information
In co-operation with the Point Roberts Marina Club we are pleased to offer Reciprocal Privileges to you for the 2009 year. We offer 48 hours of complimentary moorage, after which moorage will be charged at $1.00 per foot per day. Electricity (30 amp) is $5.00 per day. Due to limited space, we must limit the reciprocal privileges to two vessels per yacht club at one time, and visits shall not exceed 1 stay in any 30-day period, twice a year.
When entering the Marina, contact the office on VHF 66A. If you are arriving from Canada you must check in at the Customs Dock on the East side of the inner channel. Once you have received customs clearance, the Marina Office, located in the upper level of the Marina building, will direct you to the guest moorage space. As always, you are required to present your current membership card and fly your club burgee while using reciprocal privileges. If the guest dock is full, the marina staff will make an effort to locate additional reciprocal moorage inside the marina.
We invite you to enjoy the lounge, restaurant, games room and café located in the Marina Club building during your stay. There is a gas dock (fuel is always reasonable priced) and a pump out station on the customs dock. Showers, located on both sides of the Marina, are free and washroom and laundry facilities are available.
While visiting Point Roberts there are a number of activities to enhance your stay. Take the nature trail to Lighthouse Park or arrange to play golf at the Point Roberts Golf Course. Transportation can also be arranged to the Point Roberts Airpark. Local, on-line weather and weather cams are available at: www.pointrobertsmarina.com.
Check the website message board for current activities. PLEASE CALL THE MARINA OFFICE (360-945-2255) A FEW DAYS AHEAD OF YOUR PLANNED ARRIVAL TO ENSURE SPACE IS AVAILABLE.
Have a great season on the water and we look forward to seeing you!
